The Interior Ministry opened a service center in the Avenues Mall yesterday, during a ceremony that was attended by Undersecretary Lieutenant General Mahmoud Al-Dousary and Director General of Service Centers Department Major General Adeeb Al-Suwaidan.

The new center comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to offer best quality services to the public and reach out to them at popular gathering places, Dousary said in a statement. He added that there are plans to open similar centers in new areas where people can access the ministry’s services easily. The new services center
in the Avenues Mall offers services both to shoppers as well as people living in nearby areas, he further indicated.

Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenships and Passports Affairs Major General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah reiterated that the center helps save people the trouble of having to go to centers located in areas far from their place of residence. The services that the center offers include residency, traffic, nationality and passport-related transactions, he added.

Major General Suwaidan said in the meantime that the center helps complete transactions in a short period of time, reduce crowding, and offer many public related services.
