Indian Ambassador : Kuwait Is One Of The First Countries That Supported Us

Arabic local newspaper Aljarida reported that Commenting on the Kuwaiti aid to his country in the face of the repercussions of “Corona”, the Indian ambassador to Kuwait Sibi George said, “India and Kuwait have always stood with each other in times of difficulties, and Kuwait was among the first countries to provide support to India. On April 26, 2021, the Kuwaiti Cabinet stated, On his solidarity with and support for India, as confirmed by Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Nasser, in a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shri S. Jaishankar, the Government of Kuwait is keen to provide emergency relief and support to India.

George added: 4 Indian navy ships have returned to India from Kuwait loaded with oxygen and medical supplies, and two Indian Air Force planes have come, and have also returned loaded with materials and medical supplies, and this bridge will continue. And I thank His Highness Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, His Highness, Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad, the government of Kuwait and the original Kuwaiti people, for this support. ”

And he added, “We are facing in India now a crisis similar to the one faced by some countries and many cities around the world last year, and despite the presence of a sixth of the world’s total population in India, we were able to effectively cope with the first wave with very low daily numbers.”
