Bomb Blasts In Kerala India
In a devastating incident that occurred during a prayer meeting in Kalamassery, Kerala, southern India, tragedy struck as multiple explosions rocked the venue. The event, attended by over 2,000 people, took a grim turn, resulting in one fatality and several critical injuries. While the cause of the blasts remains a mystery, local authorities are actively investigating the incident.
Kerala's Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, expressed his condolences and provided an update on the situation, stating, "One person has been killed, and two other people are critical, others are in the hospital. Further details are being ascertained." The incident has left the community in shock, awaiting answers about what transpired during the prayer meeting.
The Press Trust of India (PTI) reported that there were at least three explosions at a convention center in Kalamassery during the Sunday morning prayer meeting. However, the PTI did not provide specific details regarding the cause of the explosions.
Local assistant police commissioner P.V. Baby shared some grim insights into the situation, indicating that one woman had lost her life, and five others sustained significant burn injuries due to the flames that erupted during the incident. The prayer meetings, spanning three days, had drawn a crowd of approximately 2,500 attendees, making this incident all the more tragic.
