In Kuwait, Indians Celebrated The 76th Anniversary Of Their Independence

A colorful celebration of Indian Independence Day took place at the Indian Embassy in Kuwait. In accordance with COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, the event was mostly virtual, with the public attending online through Embassy social media accounts.

A floral tribute was paid to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at 8:00 am at the Embassy premises, followed by the unveiling of the Tricolor flag and the singing of the Indian National Anthem. The President of India's message was read out by Ambassador HE Shri Sibi George.

The Ambassador thanked the leadership and government of Kuwait for their continued support in further deepening and strengthening India-Kuwait bilateral relations, as well as for taking special care of the Indian community in Kuwait.

Further, Ambassador highlighted the Embassy's efforts to promote India-Kuwait relations and address issues of concern to the Indian Community in his address. The ambassador invited the Kuwaiti community to celebrate 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' with the embassy. In addition to promoting trade, investment, culture, and tourism, expanding and deepening institutional cooperation in different domains, as well as ensuring the welfare of the Indian Community in Kuwait, he pointed out the efforts undertaken by the Embassy on various fronts.
