In 37 Days, 17,000 Citizens And Residents Were Vaccinated
Thousands of people in Kuwait are being vaccinated against Coronavirus at health centers. From April 19 to May 26, a total of 17 thousand citizens and residents have received a second dose, while more than 56 thousand have received a third booster dose.
According to an Arabic daily, the elimination of restrictions and the resumption of commercial, social, cultural and other activities have contributed to the stability of the overall Coronavirus epidemic. In late December 2020, a nationwide vaccination campaign was launched to increase health awareness, which led to a marked decline in Covid-19 cases locally before things gradually returned to normal.
According to the sources, 84.3% of those eligible for vaccination received both doses. The vaccines will be administered at the Fintas Health Center instead of the health facilities today (Sunday) due to the low numbers of people attending the Al-Ahmadi health areas for Covid-19. In this regard, it should be noted that the low number of people attending is due to low turnout.
One infection was in intensive care on May 21, and four occurred in medical wards designated for virus patients, and no deaths from the virus were reported, and a daily infection rate of 3% for the number of swabs was recorded, with a cure rate of 99.5%.
COVID-19 has recovered in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries at a 98.7% rate, the Statistical Center announced last Thursday, with a total number of 3,596,116 recovering cases out of a total 3,643,196 cases infected with the virus since the beginning of the outbreak in the Gulf.
