Steps To Apply For Visit Visa Extension In Kuwait
Many users requested us for the process of Visit Visa Extension, after speaking to few individuals we got info about the process, will try to explain as simple as possible, we don’t say this is the final process, still you can check with anyone in immigration office for Visit Visa extension.
Visit visa is given for 3 months for wife and kids and for parents mostly 1 month or 3 months depending on the rule at that time.

You should carry Original Passport & Original Visa of Applicant.
- First you should visit office of General Manager of Immigration and Residency affairs of all governorates. Which is located in Farwaniya

It is in same building of Farwaniya Traffic Department
You should take token, while taking token they will ask you for when you need token, you can tell visit visa extension (tamdid in Arabic), if they are not accepting applications for extension they will tell you.
You can get extension only if it is approved by General Manager, they may give extension a week, two weeks or one month or more than that . It all depends on approval, if approved then they will stamp no of days and sign.
Note – without General Manager No extension of Visit Visa
- Once approved you should visit your Governorate Immigration office and get it stamped and signed by The Head of Reception Department or you can ask at reception counter for visit Visa Extension they will guide you.
- After signed and stamped office, take a token for application receiving and they will verify the documents and they will sign and stamp.
- Again, you should take token for visa sticker on your passport, when your no comes please visit the counter they will take all documents(including original visit visa) and attach a visit visa extension sticker on your passport.
visa starting date and expiry date will be mentioned on sticker,
you can try extension of visa before 5 or 10 days of expiry , once you get approval from general manager , visit immigration office on last day of expiry because once they give extension they will count the days from the day sticker is stamped , so its suggested to visit the office on the last day of immigration.
