‘gcc Must Join Forces To Battle Crime’
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant-General Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah stressed the importance of unifying efforts between the security sectors in the Gulf Cooperation Council through coordination and communication to confront all forms of crime. This came in a press statement issued by the Ministry’s General Department of Relations and Security Media, following the preparatory meeting for the undersecretaries of the Interior Ministries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf on Monday, via video communication technology.
Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf expressed his appreciation and thanks to the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council for their great efforts to push forward the joint Gulf security coordination and cooperation. During the meeting, Lieutenant General Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf conveyed to the attendees the greetings and wishes of the Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Ali Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah for success and fulfillment of the aspirations of the Gulf citizen and the consolidation of the security system in all GCC countries, stressing the depth of security relations between the Gulf states through their keenness on continuous coordination among them to reach to the desired security integration.
In the meeting, the agents discussed a number of files on the agenda, which would contribute to strengthening the process of joint security cooperation. They also discussed the latest developments in the region and the coordination of efforts and goals according to the requirements of the current stage. Accordingly, a number of recommendations were developed that were submitted to the Ministers of Interior in Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The meeting was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Hoqqi Majed Al-Majed, and the Acting Director General of the General Department for follow-up on the Affairs of Ministerial Councils and Committees, Colonel Hoqqi Adel Al- Suwaid, and the Director of International Relations, Colonel Muhammad Al-Ajmi.
