For Assault And Vehicle Damage, A Kuwaiti Is Sentenced To Prison
A Kuwaiti citizen was sentenced to six months in prison with hard labor for hitting another citizen in front of his wife on a public road and crashing into his vehicle. The court acquitted the second defendant and his brother from charges of beating the first defendant because one of them did not allow the other the right of way.
The first and second defendants were charged with fighting, causing each other injuries described in the medical report, and intentionally damaging properties. The first defendant caused damage to the second defendant’s vehicle, and the second defendant caused damage to the first defendant’s vehicle.
Moreover, the third defendant, the first defendant's brother, was charged with threatening the first defendant with the intention of preventing him from filing a complaint.
Lawyer Muhammad Al-Sayegh, representing the second defendant and his third brother, argued that the first defendant's statements were unreasonable and that the documents lacked proof of the allegations.
Acquitting his clients of the charges and convicting the first defendant in accordance with the law was his plea to the court.
