Farwaniya Municipality Issued 11 Violations

Field tours of the supervisory team at the Audit and Follow-up Department of Municipal Services in Farwaniya Governorate resulted in issuing 11 violations of the municipality’s rules and regulations, which included non-renewal of the advertising license, the creation of an advertisement for the activity without a license, and the removal of 50 random advertisements.

A statement by the Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality stated that, “Within the framework of the efforts made by the supervisory teams in the Kuwait Municipality to follow up the implementation of health requirements and the municipality’s controls and systems, the Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality revealed the implementation of the supervisory team of the Audit Department and the follow-up of municipal services in Farwaniya, to implement field tours. The commercial complexes, parallel markets and retail stores in the areas of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Al-Ardiya Al-Hrafiya, Abdullah Al-Mubarak and West Abdullah Al-Mubarak to ensure their compliance with the municipality’s bylaws and regulations and health requirements with the aim of achieving community immunity, as well as making sure that there are no violating advertisements on the streets that obstruct vision and distort the general view of the governorate.

The Director of the Audit and Follow-up Department of Municipal Services in the Governorate Municipality Branch, Dr. Nasser Al-Rashidi, affirmed, “The municipality is keen to implement the decisions of the Council of Ministers related to health requirements by implementing morning and evening field tours in all areas of the governorate to ensure that shops, commercial complexes and parallel markets comply with the application of health requirements to limit the spread of the Corona virus.” and municipal controls,” noting that “the field tours that were carried out in those areas resulted in the issuance of 11 violations of the municipality’s rules and regulations, which included not renewing the advertising license and creating an advertisement for the activity without a license.”

He added that “50 violating advertisements have been removed from the streets and squares that obstruct vision and distort the public landscape in the areas of Abdullah Al-Mubarak and West Abdullah Al-Mubarak.”

Al-Rashidi called on shop owners to abide by the municipality’s regulations and to take all preventive measures and measures in order to ensure the health and safety of all and to avoid violations and fines.
