Exodus Of Expats – 300 Work Permits Cancelled Daily

Official figures revealed the exodus of expatriates leaving Kuwait, with around 300 work permits cancelled almost daily for various reasons, which means that there are about 12 expatriates leaving Kuwait every hour.

Statistics published through the Public Authority of Manpower system from 12th Jan to 24th Jan showed 3,527 work permits were cancelled in 13 days, 1,859 cancelled final work permits to travel back to their home country and 230 cancelled work permits due to death of expats, report Al Rai. 1,538 residences were cancelled as they were outside the country and it was not renewed. 39,913 work permits were renewed.
