New Guidelines Reletad To Coronavirus And Travelling
Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has announced that Kuwait has overcome the latest wave of Coronavirus, easing restrictions on the virus and introducing a new phase of living with it.
Clarified that the government bodies, primarily the Ministry of Health, had set pre-emptive measures that had paid off.
With the infections surge waning & the number of vaccinated people soaring, the cabinet relaxed pandemic restrictions for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.
Kuwait will relax its Coronavirus restrictions and "live with" the virus and its various variants.
As of 20th February, Kuwait's Cabinet decided that those who are fully immunized against Coronavirus (Covid 19) need not conduct a PCR test before or upon arrival in Kuwait, and that the home quarantine applied after arrival in Kuwait will no longer be enforced.
Not Fully Vaccinated - New travel procedures require someone who is not fully vaccinated to demonstrate a negative PCR test 72 hours before boarding a Kuwait flight with a 7-day quarantine period at home after arrival, and a PCR test negative within 7 days after leaving quarantine.
Cabinet had scrapped PCR test requirements for unvaccinated students attending schools & universities.
Social distancing in mosques was abolished & unvaccinated people could enter shopping centers; however, he stressed the need to wear facemasks.
He expressed appreciation to all people as well as the Public & private sector workers for their cooperation & commitment during the past period
