Exemption For A Few Expat Teachers
In light of the severe deficiencies these departments suffer in some disciplines, particularly in schools in remote and far-flung areas, some departments and technical offices have requested that non-Kuwaiti teachers working in their departments be excluded from the replacement (Kuwaitization) plan.
The Director General of Technical Education Hessa Al-Mutawa addressed the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Osama Al-Sultan regarding the replacement plan for expatriate teachers.
Art and craft education teachers affiliated with the Ahmadi Educational District, specifically those in schools in Sabah Al-Ahmad City and Wafra, should be excluded from the replacement plan due to their urgent need. Meanwhile, the Department of Special Education alerted the deficit in the educational staff in some disciplines in some schools. In a letter sent to the Coordination Department, it requested the exemption of teachers of Sabah Al-Ahmad City schools affiliated with the department as well as those in the boys school in Erada and Tahaddi Girls School, from the lists of Kuwaitization due to the severe deficit in them, and in the interest of work.
Suleiman Al-Harbi, the Director of the Fahaheel Intermediate School for Boys, added, "I am almost certain a disaster will occur next year if 68 male and female teachers from the best affiliates of religious institutes are terminated." It has been officially announced that their services for next year will be terminated.
The Qur'an, intonation, interpretation, hadith, biography, jurisprudence, the term hadith, prosody, grammar, rhetoric, literature, logic, and Islamic culture are among the subjects taught in religious institutes.
There are also many new schools that will open next year, and there will certainly be
a severe shortage in the event of the dismissal of this huge number of teachers. We therefore hope that the decision-maker will look at this matter with an eye of justice and wisdom, reconsider his decision, and take the opinion of the people in the field, including principals and inspectors, so that there is no breach in the educational process.”
