Eight Covid-19 Fatalities, 1,015 Infections,
The Ministry of Health announced Tuesday that 906 cases of the new coronavirus have recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovering in Kuwait to 174,088.
The spokesman for the ministry, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, said during the (111) periodic press conference that they can confirm now after conducting the necessary medical examinations and the steps followed in this regard, the percentage of total cases of recovery out of the total infection cases amounted to 93.6 percent.
The spokesman added that 1,015 new infections were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infection cases reached to 186,004, including eight fatalities, which brings the total number of deaths to 1,057 cases. Al-Sanad noted that the number of people receiving medical care in intensive care departments reached 146 cases, bringing the total number of cases that were confirmed to have Covid-19 and are still receiving the necessary medical care 10,867 cases.
Al-Sanad also said that the number of swabs conducted in the past 24 hours amounted to 8,221 swabs, bringing the total to 1,746,776 swabs, noting that the percentage of infections to the number of swabs taken during the past 24 hours was 12.3 percent. The spokesman renewed call for citizens and residents to continue adopting all preventive measures, to avoid contact with others, and to ensure the implementation of the physical distancing measure.
