Earthquake Tremors Felt In Kuwait

The National Seismological Network at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research recorded a moderate earthquake of 5.1 on the Richter scale that hit western Iran and was felt by a number of coastal residents in Kuwait.

The institute said in a press statement that the earthquake had been recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers at exactly 12:13 this afternoon, Sunday, Kuwait time. Many residents of the coastal areas of the country felt slight tremors as a result of this earthquake, which is about 340 km away from Kuwait City, expecting less strong aftershocks.
