Driving Licenses Of 1,000 Expats Were Withdrawn In The Last 40 Days

17 December 2022 Expats

About 1,000 expats whose driving licenses were revoked in 40 days by the General Traffic Department were expats who violated driving license issuance rules. That is, 23 driving licenses per day. If expats fail to meet certain requirements for obtaining a license, such as salary, university degree, or profession, their license will be revoked.

According to Al Rai, the files of expats are currently being reviewed on instructions from Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Traffic department patrol teams have been given permission to arrest expats who drive after their licenses have been withdrawn and deport them for violating country law. Expats cannot drive a vehicle in Kuwait without a driving license and cannot drive with a revoked license.
