Dgfd Warns 9 Major Projects About Violations

Colonel Muhammad Al-Gharib, the head of the Directorate-General of Fire Department's (DGFD) Public Relations and Media Department, said the department carried out an inspection tour of nine major projects under construction on the orders of the DGFD's head, Lieutenant-General Khaled Al-Makrad, and under the direct supervision of his deputy for the prevention sector, Major General Khaled Fahd.

DGFD inspectors discovered violations of DGFD rules concerning safety and fire prevention standards during the examination of the nine locations, according to Al-Gharib, by exploiting the projects for the purpose of random storage, which endangers people's lives and property.

Al-Gharib went on to say that the inspection team had warned the owner and given him 48 hours to correct any irregularities before pursuing legal action.
