Delayed Arrival Of Coronavirus Vaccine May Hamper The Return To Normal Life

03 April 2021 Coronavirus

The second batch of AstraZeneca-Oxford coronavirus vaccine is expected to arrive in Kuwait today, Saturday, Al Qabas reported.

The Ministry of health expected this batch of Oxford vaccines to arrive last week. The delay in the arrival of the vaccines was due to logistics issues.

Health officials have confirmed to the daily, that disruption of the arrival dates of shipments may in the future happen due to the global demand. Health observers fear that this delay may slow down the speed of vaccination in the country and may hamper the return of normal life.

Nevertheless, the current situation is reassuring with the almost regular arrival of batches of Pfizer vaccine, and the arrival of the second batch of the Oxford vaccine this afternoon.

The Ministry of Health also plans to export vaccines from Johnson & Johnson and Moderna after necessary approvals.
