Customs Seized Tobacco Hidden Inside A Clothes Cargo

The public and private customs warehouse administrations at the airport successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle tobacco. In a container intended for transporting clothing and accessories into the country, the illicit substance was concealed. Muhammad Ghareeb Al-Saidi, the director of the customs warehouse, and Nasser Al-Dalmani, the controller of the warehouse, supervised the operation.

According to a customs source, the inspectors became suspicious of a container arriving at the airport with a customs declaration indicating “clothes and accessories.” After carefully inspecting the container, customs officials discovered that a substantial amount of tobacco had been hidden behind cartons of clothing and accessories.
