Court Ordered Tenant To Vacate Shop Due To Non-payment Of Agreed Rent Amount

The Court of First Instance presided over by Judge Khaled Al-Rukaibi ordered a tenant to vacate a shop he is renting from the owner and pay the latter KD 2,500 for using the premises due to non-payment of the agreed rent amount. Lawyer Mohammad Khalil Al- Qattan filed the case on behalf of the leaser based on Article 1 of Law No. 39/1990 and Articles 10 and 20/1 of Law No. 35/1978 regarding renting real estate, stressing that the rents should be paid when they are due. He affirmed that the tenant, when he did not pay the agreed rent when due, had violated the provisions of the contract.
