21 September 2020 Coronavirus

The World Health Organization said today, Monday, that 156 countries have joined the global “Kovacs” plan, which aims to ensure equitable distribution of supplies of future vaccines against Covid-19.

A statement issued by the organization and the Global Alliance for the Production of Vaccines and Vaccines, after a deadline that expired last Friday to make binding pledges, stated that the list includes 64 wealthier countries, which will commit to self-financing. Kovacs aims to deliver two billion doses of safe and effective vaccines around the world by the end of 2021.
