Code-share Flights Between Ita And Kuwait

On Monday, Italy's state-owned ITA Airways and Kuwait's national carrier agreed to code-share on domestic and international routes, expanding on a previous arrangement.

ITA Airways and Kuwait Airways have announced a new strategic agreement in which Kuwait Airways' code will be used on ITA Airways flights within Italy and between Italy and Europe. Kuwait Airways flights between Kuwait and Rome-Fiumicino/Milan-Malpensa will use the ITA Airways code. As of June 6, 2022, this agreement will be available for travel. The code-share will play a role.

The agreement intends to improve the in-flight experience for passengers on board ITA and Kuwait Airways aircraft, according to a statement from the Italian national carrier, which also highlighted the agreement as a method to "promote bilateral commerce and touristic connections."

According to the statement, ITA will now insert Kuwait Airways' code on domestic flights to a number of Italian cities, including Torino, Napoli, and Bologna, as part of the code-sharing agreement, and the two companies will also code-share on two-way flights between the two nations.

The announcement went on to praise the importance of the treaty in restoring the aviation industry, which was heavily damaged by the COVID-19 pandemic. - KUNA
