Campaign Continuous In Jleeb - Many Shops Closed
Control Sector in the Department of Audit and Follow-up at Farwaniya Branch of Kuwait Municipality carried out an intensive campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area and monitored an illegal café exploiting a state property covering an estimated 4,000 square meters area.
The campaign resulted in the closure of 28 shops for operating without proper documentation from relevant authorities, and referral of 38 orders to close several shops for operating without license from the municipality According to the Deputy Director General of Farwaniya and Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipality Affairs Engineer Muhammad Sarkhou, the campaign would continue as per directives from the Director General of Municipality Engineer Ahmed Al-Manfouhi.
In his role, Director of the Department of Public Hygiene and Roads Operations in Farwaniya Municipality Saad Al-Kharj said the campaign was conducted after monitoring a large number of stores violating the municipality rules and regulations that govern commercial installations, in addition to makeshift markets and cafes for violating lands belonging to the state without necessary permission.
Meanwhile, Engineer Sarkhou mentioned that 4 truckloads of vegetables and fruits and used clothes were destroyed, in addition to 224 plastic chairs, 230 iron chairs, 64 plastic tables, 8 iron tables and 50 shisha pipes were confiscated and sent to the municipal impound yard. They also lifted 5-ton load of used tires.
