Cabinet: We Are Proud Of The Positive And Kind Initiatives Undertaken By His Highness The Amir

The Council listened to an explanation given by the representative of His Highness the Emir, His Highness the Prime Minister, about his recent visit to the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain to offer condolences on behalf of the State of Kuwait, the Emir, the government and the people, on the death of the late His Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, may God rest his soul. It came as an embodiment of the unity of feelings and the depth of the permanent fraternal ties between the two countries and their brotherly peoples, and in gratitude and appreciation for the role of the deceased and his honorable stances at all levels and in all fields and fields.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Anas Al-Saleh informed the Council of Ministers of the inspection visit made by His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, the Emir of the country to both the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior and the headquarters of the General Fire Force, in which His Highness met with senior officials in Both the Ministry of Interior and the General Fire Brigade and thanked them and praised them for their dedication and sincerity in performing their duties, each in his position, and their constructive cooperation with various official and other authorities to confront the Corona pandemic, as confirmed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs in his name and in the name of all the employees of the Ministry of Interior The firefighting force means loyalty, hearing, and obedience to the guardian’s command and full commitment to his lofty directives as soldiers in the service of the nation and citizens.

The Minister of Health informed the Council of the visit of His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, Emir of the country, to the headquarters of the Ministry of Health this morning, and his meeting with the leaders of the Ministry, where His Highness, may God preserve and sponsor him, during this visit thanked and praised the medical cadres and staff for their sacrifices and their tremendous efforts in preserving The health and safety of citizens and residents who have proven to be the first line of defense for the homeland by standing in the front rows to address the emerging corona virus epidemic and limit its spread. The Minister confirmed that this visit will be an incentive and encouragement for all medical personnel to continue their work to preserve the safety and health of citizens and residents and for everything that serves the dear homeland .

The Council of Ministers expressed its great pride in the positive and kind initiatives undertaken by His Highness the Emir, may God protect him and take care of him, which confirms His Highness’s keenness to meet directly with officials and take care of his children.

The Cabinet listened to an explanation provided by the Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basil Hammoud Al-Sabah, on the development of the health situation in the country and the details of the statistics related to the total number of injuries, recovery, deaths and those in intensive care, as the number of swabs conducted by the State of Kuwait exceeded one million, which constitutes about 23.6% of the total population. The percentage of those recovering reached 93%, praise be to God, but there is a fluctuation in the number of injuries, which requires more care and continuing to adhere to the health measures and requirements to combat the epidemic.

The Council discussed the recommendation of the Public Services Committee regarding government agencies' preparations to deal with the rainy season for the year 2020, and the Council of Ministers decided to assign the Ministry of Public Works in coordination with the concerned authorities to take all necessary to speed up the procedures of the documentary session for dealing with the repercussions of the rainy season.
