Bid To Rationalize Power And Water
The Ministry of Electricity and Water announced the opening of the electronic portal for the first version of the ‘Decide It’ project for citizens who are keen to contribute to rationalizing electricity and water consumption through the ministry’s official website: www.mew. gov.kw., reported Al-Seyassah.
The Minister of Oil and Minister of Electricity and Water Dr Muhammad Al-Faris said in a press statement this project includes incentives for monthly payment of bills for those who help in rationalizing electricity and water consumption which will be based on comparing the participant’s actual consumption last year for the same month.
Minister Al-Faris stated the idea of this project comes with the support of the former Minister of Electricity and Water, Dr. Khaled Al-Fadhel, in the ministry’s belief in developing its services provided to clients and working to ‘contain’ waste of electricity and water consumption in accordance with Article Two of Law 20 for the year 2016, which states that “it is permissible to grant incentives to those who contribute to the rationalization of electricity and electricity consumption.”
