Bid To Avert Fraud In Covid Tests
Deputy Director General for Kuwait International Airport Affairs Engr Saleh Al-Fadaghi said the date for launching the link for external testing laboratories on Kuwait Mosafer platform will be announced soon in more than 20 countries, which constitute more than 90 percent of passenger movement, reports Al-Anba daily. In a statement to the daily, Al-Fadaghi disclosed the new system was implemented by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health to accredit external testing laboratories in order to prevent manipulation of corona test certificates from abroad.
He affirmed the health authorities in Kuwait approved the external testing laboratories, which are connected to Kuwait Mosafer platform where the corona test certificate will be uploaded. He added the corona vaccination certificate will be uploaded on the platform as well to be part of documents stored in the system for future use, especially when traveling to other countries or entering Kuwait. He went on to day that Kuwait continues to limit the number of arrivals to 35 passengers per flight until further notice in order to match the bed capacity of hotels participating in the institutional quarantine for arriving passengers — currently 47 hotels. He confirmed that DGCA allows anyone in or outside Kuwait to register on the platform and make hotel reservations on behalf of the traveler, indicating that payments through credit cards and K-Net are accepted on the platform.
Health Minister Sheikh Dr Basel Al-Sabah approved the risk and infection allowance for medical personnel in hospitals, health centers, laboratories, vaccination centers and quarantine centers as they are exposed to various risks directly and indirectly, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources. On the leave days balance of the abovementioned employees, sources disclosed these employees will be allowed to use their leave balance provided they complete the required minimum working hours.
