Beggars Arrested For Begging During Ramadan

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, an increasing number of Muslims are imprisoned for abusing the holy month by begging for money.

A number of Arab and Asian ex-pats were arrested on Wednesday by the Department for the Protection of Public Morals and Combating Human Trafficking for begging on the street during the holy month.

They were referred to the appropriate authorities, who would take the appropriate measures.

Officials have stated that authorities will take stringent efforts to prevent such undesirable events from occurring in the country.
