Ban On Delivery Bikes On Highways From Sunday

The decision to ban the delivery bikes on highways will be in force starting from Sunday, November 7th.

Federation of Restaurants and Delivery Companies, in an agreement with the authorities, decided to install a devices in each motorcycle to show the bike rider the path allowed to take. Warning will be issued for any violations and action will be taken for repeated violations.

In addition to the ban on highways, the Ministry of Interior also required all delivery companies and restaurants to oblige drivers of delivery bikes to abide by the requirements of wearing a helmet and to put a reflective sticker on the bike box so that motorists can see it at night.

The decision to ban the delivery bikes on the highways and not to move from one governorate to another was taken due to the large number of traffic accidents in which delivery bikes were included.
