Authorities Confirm No Damage Was Caused By The Earthquake

After the early morning earthquake that occurred in Kuwait on Saturday, the Kuwait Fire Force's operations department announced that no damage had been reported.

Public Relations and Media of the General Fire Service said a number of calls were received by the Central Operations Department from residents of southern regions of the country regarding the earthquake.

In spite of the quake's magnitude, the Central Operations Department recorded no damages.

Meteorologist Adel Al-Saadoun has assured that the magnitude 4.44 earthquake in Kuwait's southern regions is considered a "light" earthquake. He pointed out that an earthquake cannot cause damage unless it has an intensity of more than six on the Richter scale.
