Almost Empty Planes At Kuwait International Airport

As Kuwait prepared to receive its citizens and non-banned category expats, on the first day of the decision where institutional quarantine came into effect the scene of arrival halls seemed almost deserted for the third time as an entry for expats have been suspended until further notice. The landing of a number of planes almost empty of Its passengers, and on board the first two flights, from Dubai and Jeddah, only 5 citizens, while a plane coming from America, through Dammam, carried one passenger.

The Director of Operations Department at the General Administration of Civil Aviation, Mansour Al-Hashemi, announced the start of receiving the first flights yesterday morning, based on the decision of the Council of Ministers to allow the return of Kuwaiti citizens to the country only, and to exclude non-Kuwaitis from medical staff in the government and private sectors, members of the diplomatic corps and their first-degree relatives and workers Accompanying household facilities, and the extension of work with the decision to prevent non-Kuwaiti passengers from entering the State of Kuwait until further notice, with the continued entry of Kuwaiti passengers and subject to institutional quarantine in one of the approved local hotels for a period of 7 days and the completion of the quarantine for another 7 days in home quarantine

He pointed out that 35 flights were scheduled to arrive at Kuwait Airport, but some flights were canceled by airlines, due to reservations and other reasons, pointing out that a few flights arrived yesterday.
