Al-etihad, Al-ahli Maintain Lead
The representatives of Libyan football teams Al-Etihad and Al-Ahli maintained consistent scintillating performances in the ongoing Abdullah Meshari Al-Roudhan Ramadan Futsal Tournament amid their second victories consecutively. In the first match, Late Abdullah Al-Medlij Team rode on the back of Lands Department Workers to attain the first win in a match that ended 4-1.
Brazilian player Taigo scored a hat trick, and his compatriot Philippe completed the fourth goal, while Mohammad Turki scored a consolation goal for the losers. With this result, Al-Medlij raised their points to four and the Lands Department remained on a single point. Al-Etihad of Libya, in the second game, qualified for the round two of the tournament after its second consecutive win upon defeating Late Sa’ad Al-Rashidi Team 5-0. Adham Al-Touni and Mohammad Salman scored a brace each and Ali Shoshat made it five with a single goal.
The winners remained the most articulated team with strong individual capabilities and team coordination that enabled them to control the pitch throughout the two halves of the game, and gaining six points while Al-Rashidi earned noting. Al-Ahli of Libya proved their mettles in the third match of the day by dismantling Sportex Team 2-0 in their second consecutive victory.
Adel Al-Sherif and Mohammad Buhajar scored the two goals to raise the team’s points to six, while Sportex maintains only one point. The thirteenth day matches include an encounter between Zone Cent and Kib, while Hamadah of Jordan will slug it out against the National Guard. The third match will see Al-Qairawan Glasses facing Late Musa’ed Al- Mailam.
