Advisory For Indian Nationals Working/employed In Kuwait Issued By The Indian Embassy

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait issued an advisory regarding the passports of Indian workers in Kuwait. In the advisory, the Embassy advises Indian workers not to give their passport to their employers.

The Advisory says the below:

-The Indian passport is a sovereign document and property of the Government of India.

-Labour laws of Kuwait also prohibit Employers from keeping the Passport of Employees, except with the express

Consent of the employee.

-Do not hand over your passport to your employer, unless you want to. Please keep your passport in your possession.
