899 New Coronavirus Infections, 5 Deaths
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced today, Monday, that 955 new Coronavirus (Covid 19) cases have recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovering in the country to 173,182. The ministry’s spokesman, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said during the press conference, it was confirmed that these cases are similar to recoveries after conducting the necessary medical tests and the steps taken in this regard, indicating that the percentage of total recoveries out of the total infections amounted to 93.6 percent.
He indicated that 899 new infections were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 184989 and recording five deaths, bringing the total number to 1049 cases. He stated that the number of people receiving medical care in intensive care departments reached 149 cases, bringing the total number confirmed to have (Covid 19) and are still receiving the necessary medical care to 10758 cases. Al-Sanad added that the number of swabs conducted in the past 24 hours amounted to 6,851 swabs, bringing the total to 1738,555 tests, noting that the percentage of infections to the number of swabs during the past 24 hours was 13.1 percent.
Al-Sanad renewed its call on citizens and residents to continue adopting all preventive measures, to avoid contact with others, and to ensure the implementation of the physical distancing strategy.
