7,622 Expatriates Have Files At Psychiatric Hospital

Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed, in his response to a parliamentary question by MP Bader Al-Hamidi, stated that all medical studies show that the danger of mental patients to public security is no different from that of mentally healthy people in society.

Al-Qabas quoting Dr. Al-Saeed went on to say, “The Ministry of Health is not the authority responsible for the administrative deportation of expatriates who have filed at the Psychiatric Hospital,” and added, “According to the statement of the concerned sector about the actual number of expatriates who have files in the Psychiatric Hospital since the opening of the hospital in 1953 until the last five years (2016 – July 2021) has reached 7,622.
