11 January 2022 Coronavirus

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, announced the latest quarantine and isolation protocols, which will be implemented starting today, Tuesday.

Al-Sanad stated that a person is considered a contact when in contact with someone who has been confirmed infected for 15 minutes or more, without covering the mouth and nose, and with a distance of less than two metres, indicating that the quarantine for immune contacts is 14 days, with the possibility of ending it by taking a PCR test from the 7th day, and 14 days for non vaccinated

He explained that isolation is 7 days for the vaccinated and 10 days for the non-vaccinated from the date of the first swab that proved the infection.

Al-Sanad indicated that the vaccinated is the one who received the “third” booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, or a period of no more than nine months has passed since receiving the “second” dose, or less than 28 days have passed since it was confirmed that he was infected, after ending the isolation period.

The official spokesman stressed the need not to mix with others when feeling sick symptoms, and to seek medical advice or help when symptoms persist or intensify.
