7 Days Hotel Quarantine For Those Returning From 34 Banned Countries

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation  is awaiting the Ministry of Health’s announcement to start operations of Kuwait International Airport for 24 hours from 17th Nov onward. The health authorities stated that passengers arriving from banned countries have to comply with all health requirements besides there will be checking on arrival and mandatory institutional quarantine.

Sources stated that health authorities are not satisfied with home quarantine and prescribed that those returning from banned countries an institutional quarantine for a period of 7 days in hotels with a PCR test to be done on seventh day based on result if it is negative the quarantine period ends, if positive the quarantine period continues, reports al rai.

Additional to other health requirements the passenger should be notified about quarantine period in a hotel for a period of 7 days besides means of transportation to quarantine places and not allowing anyone to receive the passenger at the airport, the passenger will bear quarantine and PCR examination expense.
