6782 Complaints For Domestic Workers In A Month

Official figures issued by the Department for Regulating the Recruitment of Domestic Workers in the Public Authority for Manpower revealed that the total number of complaints requests that were registered in the department last month amounted to 6,782 complaints.

According to the figures that monitor the period from 1 to 31 December 2020, the number of complaints that were resolved amicably between the two parties reached 185 complaints, while the number of complaints referred to the judiciary, including claims for workers leaving, reached 186.

The numbers indicate that the total number of actual registered domestic labor recruitment offices is 464 offices, while the number of workers registered in domestic labor recruitment offices is 1533 workers, and the total number of applications for licenses received is 933, while the number of practice licenses that have been renewed and issued is 23 licenses. The new practice that was issued is only 1.
