4,661 Citizens Divorced Their Wives During 2020

Alqabas reported that The repercussions of the Corona virus did not depend on economic losses only, as an official statistic obtained by source revealed that 4,661 citizens divorced their wives during 2020, the first year of Corona in the country.

The statistics issued by the Central Administration of Statistics recently showed that more than half of the citizens who divorced their wives in the aforementioned year are young people, from 20 to 34 years old, with a total of 2408 Kuwaitis who divorced their wives, while the rest of the number was distributed among other age groups.

According to the figures, among the total divorce cases for citizens, there were 3,953 Kuwaiti wives, and 708 non-Kuwaiti wives.

The figures indicated that 760 citizens who divorced their wives during the aforementioned year were among the polygamists, as 683 of them had one wife at the time of the divorce, 66 of them had two wives at the time of the divorce, and 11 of them had 3 wives.
