'360' System To Be Implemented At Kpc

The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation has advised senior oil industry executives who meet the qualifications and have relevant experience that the '360' methodology will be used to evaluate candidates for the position of executive vice president.

According to a local Arabic daily citing oil sector insiders, the '360' promotion system promotes supervisory and senior employees to executive positions of vice-president, direct within the firm or from outside, as well as two managers and two team leaders.

According to the sources, the method allows the executive vice president the authority to decide on the director's choices and to choose other assessors based on his preferences. However, the sources caution that any revisions to the directors' choices without an appropriate rationale would disgrace the senior oil executives.

Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Sabah, the CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, has appointed Shafi Al-Ajmi, the Executive Vice-President for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Petrochemical Industries Company, as the Deputy CEO for Manufacturing at Kuwait Petroleum International.

Al-Sabah has made an administrative decision appointing Ala'a Tariq Al-Saqabi to the role of head of the Fatwa, Dispute, and Legal Consultations team, according to another circular. He will report to the Director of the Department of Legal Affairs.
