30 Year Old Kuwaiti Arrested For Stealing Smartphones In Mubarakiya

A Kuwaiti citizen in his 30s was arrested for stealing smartphones from several shops and electronic companies in Mubarakiya and Sharq areas, According to security sources, when officers from the Criminal Investigations Department received several complaints against an unknown person who hoodwinked salespersons and escaped with valuable smartphones and laptops, they launched investigations and checked the records of the CCTV cameras installed inside the shops.

After intensifying their efforts, they managed to seize the thief in an ambush and discovered that he is a Kuwaiti citizen and a drug addict. When questioned, he admitted to hoodwinking salespersons and escaping with the loot. He revealed that he used to sell the stolen items at quarter of its original price; for example, he sold a smart phone worth KD 300 for only KD 80. He provided securitymen with information about his buyers. The sources affirmed that the buyers will be penalized for purchasing the stolen items even after knowing the source.
