Securitymen arrested 200 violators of law, seized 9 vehicles including one that is wanted by law and issued 60 traffic citations during an extensive security campaign that was recently launched by Ministry of Interior in Shuwaikh Industrial area in the presence of the Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Sulaiman Al-Fahad who was accompanied by Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at the ministry Major General Ali Al-Madhi and other highranking officials.
The campaign was launched from 5pm after securitymen closed the entry and exit points of the area and then patrolled most of the area. Necessary legal measures were taken for securitymen to raid some suspicious locations to check on the tenants and visitors and inspect their documents.
They discovered that some industrial plots were converted into accommodations. Ministry’s Public Relations and Security Media Department explained in a press release that the 200 violators of law who were arrested included 64 violators of residency law, 26 violators of labor law, 26 with expired residencies, 23 individuals without their official identification documents, 15 who were reported as absconding and three who are involved in financial cases. It urged Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates to cooperate with securitymen, refrain from sheltering any violators of law and supporting security campaigns as well as providing information about anyone or anything that could negatively impact the security of the country and safety of Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates.
