18 Building Closure Orders And 91 Warnings Issued By The Municipality

As a result of the Kuwait Municipality's campaign launched in cooperation with the concerned authorities, 91 violations and warnings have been issued, 18 closure orders have been issued for violations of building regulations, and 12 basements have been given a deadline to voluntarily vacate. 42 violating properties have been blocked as a result of the campaign.

According to a press statement released by the municipality on Monday, the campaign involved detecting commercially exploited basements and building violations on investment properties' roofs in all governorates to prevent basements from being used as stores or shops in violation of building regulations and shop licenses.

According to the press statement, the teams will continue to conduct field tours in the governorates to ensure that basements are not exploited in ways that are not licensed in the engineering plan while also taking legal action against the violator, emphasizing the need not to engage in any activity without obtaining a license.
