17,428 Expats Quarantined In 60 Days

Informed sources at the Ministry of Health revealed to Al-Qabas that the Ministry’s medical teams dealt with about 17,428 residents who were quarantined in more than one location, after they were exposed to coronavirus infections during the period from early March to the day before yesterday.

The sources said that health teams are able to deal with greater numbers of expatriate workers in buildings and quarries where injuries are detected, but their increasing rates are putting pressure on medical staff and nursing bodies overseeing the treatment of injured people, or conducting checks and surveys on them. The sources pointed out that the quarantine of them in the quarry of the Institute of Police Officers College in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, numbering 390 residents, where 32 cases were detected among them, in addition to the suspect of 5 other cases.
 

And increased, that the number of persons applied to quarantine in buildings in Jleeb and Al-Hassawi amounts to 1882 residents, of whom 156 have been confirmed to have corona, indicating the application of the stone against 2698 residents in buildings in Farwaniya, Khaitan, Abbasiya and Raqi, where tests indicated 68 of them were infected with the virus. The sources added that the number of people quarantined in buildings in Fahaheel and Mahboula amounts to 4,064 people, including 115 injured, pointing to the presence of 875 residents quarantined in the buildings of Abu Halifa and the port of Al-Zour and Al-Mangaf, where tests indicated that 28 of them were infected with the virus. She drew attention to the application of the stone to 2068 residents in the Abdali quarry, where 31 of them were found to be infected with corona, in addition to applying it to 169 people in the nurses’ residence in Salmiya, which indicated the presence of 4 injuries in it, explaining its application also to buildings in Salmiya comprising 1520 arrivals, confirmed the injury of 24 Coved case 19.

She confirmed that the health quarry of the Ministry of Defense in Sabhan included 367 arrivals, 7 of whom were infected with the virus, noting that there were buildings in the governorate of the capital that had been cordoned since last March, and included 3310 arrivals, where 164 cases were found among them. The sources pointed out that the Khalifa quarry received 35 people, confirmed that only one case was infected with the virus, and the ministry applied the quarantine to a worker housing in Amghara, which includes 50 workers, where 9 of them were confirmed to be infected with the virus. She stressed that the ministry will spare no efforts in facing corona, whether by harnessing its financial or human capabilities to deal with the developments, noting that the sacrifices of medical and nursing staff are continuing around the clock, to ensure that the virus contains and control the hot spots of its spread. She stressed that the infection of 105 krona from medical staff and nurses is the best evidence of the sacrifices made by these people on more than one level, stressing that health conditions regarding the developments of the virus are still under control
