According To Al-Jarida the General Administration of Residency Affairs, in cooperation and coordination with the General Administration of Information Systems, managed to complete one million 377 thousand and 582 transactions electronically, through the Ministry of Interior website, with the aim of facilitating the citizens and residents who wish to complete their transactions, in light of The emergency health conditions the country is witnessing due to the Corona pandemic.

The sources added that the number of completed transactions during the period from 7/31/2020 to 6/8/2020 amounted to 48,307 transactions, including 929 transactions for registered companies, while the number of transactions for renewing state employees from residents according to Article (17) amounted to 615 transactions. And the transactions of workers in the private sector according to Article (18) amounted to 6,523 transactions, indicating that the number of transactions of domestic workers according to Article (20) amounted to 2057 transactions.

It stated that the statistics issued by the General Administration of Residency Affairs for the same period showed that the number of transactions for renewing family residency permits according to Article (22) amounted to 6,468 transactions, while temporary residency permits that were renewed according to Article (14) amounted to 15 thousand and 673 residency residency, indicating that The number of residency permits renewed according to Ministerial Resolution No. 444/2020, which is the decision to amend the status of violators of the residency law, reached 16 thousand and 32 transactions.

They indicated that the Ministry of the Interior, represented by the General Administration of Residency Affairs, continues to receive auditors in the residency affairs departments in the six governorates for expatriates, and with regard to domestic workers and those of similar status, the review is carried out in service centers and residence departments, in addition to receiving transactions electronically on the Ministry of Interior website

 


126 thousand violators

With regard to the violators of the residency law, who did not benefit from the deadline granted by the Ministry of the Interior during last April and continued until May 1, the sources confirmed that the last statistics of these violators amounted to 126 thousand violators, explaining that the concerned authorities held several meetings to set a mechanism that will be implemented at the beginning of the month Al-Muqbil is to implement large-scale security campaigns, in coordination with several security and government agencies, in order to arrest the violating workers and remove them from the country.

She explained that the leaders of the Interior held several meetings with representatives of the Public Authority for Manpower and the Ministry of Trade in order to set up a mechanism to identify fake and inactive companies and institutions with a large number of marginal workers, noting that the Ministry of Interior is still reviewing the lists of foreign workers, who left the country during a period The legal time limit granted by the Ministry of Interior to determine the names of companies, institutions and persons who were registered on their sponsorship, in preparation for taking legal measures against them and determining the number of violating workers on the same sponsors and those who did not leave the country.

The sources revealed that the Ministry of Interior has prepared a field security plan, in cooperation and coordination with the National Guard, in order to raid and prosecute violators of the residency law, by setting up fixed and mobile checkpoints, and carrying out closures of expatriate areas, with establishing checkpoints at the entrances and exits of those areas, and issuing Orders to search and raid some suspicious sites, pointing out that the inspections and raids will include some work sites that use marginal labor, in coordination with the inspectors of the Public Authority for Manpower and the inspectors of the Ministry of Commerce and the Kuwait Municipality.
