11,190 Traffic Citations Issued, 526 Vehicles Seized
Director General of Public Relations and Security Media Department Brigadier Adel Al-Hashash says the security statistics of the National Days celebrations reveal that security operatives carried out 1,533 security procedures, issued 11,190 traffic citations, referred 41 cases to the concerned authorities and impounded 526 vehicles and 18 motorbikes.
Regarding the security procedures carried out by securitymen during the celebrations, he explained that 74 of them were traffic related
while 632 were by the Operations Sector (General Department for Rescue Police) and 827 by the General Department for Public Security.
Brigadier Al-Hashash further explained that traffic officers issued 8,842 citations, referred 41 cases to the concerned authorities and confiscated 374 vehicles and 15 motorbikes.
The Operations Sector issued 1,410 traffic citations and impounded 82 vehicles. The Public Security Sector carried out 827 security procedures, issued 938 traffic citations and seized 70 vehicles and 3 motorbikes.
