1,019 New Covid-19 Infections, One Death
Over the past 24 hours, Kuwait has reported 1,019 cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 611,820, according to the Ministry of Health. In an interview with KUNA, the ministry's spokesperson, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, said that the medical authorities have recorded 3,506 new cases of recovery, adding up to 588,084 individuals cured of the infection. A total of 96.1 percent of the infections in the overall population have been healed to date, according to him. The death toll from COVID-19 is now 2,528. He added that 85 patients had been treated in intensive care units, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,528, he said. COVID-19 wards reported 343 patients, he said. Overall, 21,208 patients were hospitalized. Adding 20,111 new swab tests, the ministry reported 7,446,560 exams.
