14 March 2017 Crime News

Ahmadi securitymen arrested a gang of two Egyptians, a Bedoun and an Iraqi for stealing copper cables and power generators in coordination with an inmate of the Central Prison. The gang is said to have dismantled and sold the stolen items at Amghara scrapyard. A security source said officers from the Criminal Investigation Department received several complaints regarding copper cable and generator thefts in camps and livestock pens, and a team of officers was formed to trail the suspects, which led to a member of the gang (the first Egyptian suspect). He accompanied security operatives to his accomplices. They told the officers the fifth suspect is an inmate of the central prisons. All four suspects have since been referred to the Public Prosecution.
