Unlicensed Stores Raided, Contraband Medical Supplies Destroyed

An unlicensed store was busted and large quantities of unlicensed medicines and medical equipment were seized by detectives and Ahmadi Municipality, reports Al-Anba daily. In addition to intravenous solutions, blood tubes and swabs used during Coronavirus were seized and destroyed.

Moreover, officials from the Ministry of Health were summoned to oversee the destruction and compression of the seized items. The warehouse has been administratively sealed. A source said immediately after the discovery of the unlicensed store by the Fahaheel Municipality Supervisor, Muhammad Qunais Al-Hajri, the Director of the Road Works Department, Nawaf Al-Mutairi was informed and instructed to contact the Ministry of Health, which then sent Dr. Khaled Al-Anezi to take inventory of the seized items.
