Two Bootleggers Arrested, One Escape

The Salmiya police have thwarted the attempt of 3 Asians to sell 120 bottles of locally-made booze into the country.

The Al-Rai daily said, the night patrol during a security check suspected three vehicles and ordered the men behind the wheel to pull over.

After checking their documents, police checked the vehicles and found the bottles of booze in all vehicles. It has been reported the driver of the third vehicle managed to escape from police leaving behind his vehicle. The two arrested men and the contraband have been handed over to the General Department of Drugs and Alcohol Control.
