Tv, Radio, And Publication Advertisements Are Regulated By Three Government Decisions
According to Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, three decisions have been issued regarding the regulation of commercial advertisements in the ministry's publications and on television and radio.
Among the most prominent aspects of the decisions, according to a local Arabic daily that has obtained a copy of them, are the prices for advertising in Ministry of Information publications. Kuwait Magazine and its publications on national products and industries, and small projects, will receive 50% of the applicable prices, while Gulf products and industries will receive 25%.
If the following conditions are met, awareness advertisements for ministries, public authorities and institutions, public benefit associations, and civil society organizations are exempt from commercial advertisement fees:
Advertisements should not contain any references to sponsors or commercial purposes.
A material profit is not the goal of the advertisement.
The advertisement must be submitted directly to the competent department by the concerned authority
