Turkey And Italy Exempt Vaccinated Kuwaitis From Quarantine And Pcr Examination
The Turkish authorities officially announced that Kuwaitis heading to Turkey were exempted from the PCR examination and quarantine, and required the presentation of a document issued by the Kuwaiti authorities stating that they had received the vaccine at least 14 days before, or that they had been cured of the Corona virus, during the six months preceding the date of entry to Turkey.
In an official statement published on its Twitter account, the Turkish embassy in Kuwait announced the new regulations that began to be applied as of the beginning of this month, regarding the request to conduct a PCR examination for all travelers across land, sea and air borders.
The statement indicated that “travelers coming to Turkey from Kuwait and other countries (except Afghanistan, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, Iran, Egypt and Singapore) must present a document issued by the Kuwaiti authorities stating that they received the vaccine at least 14 days before, or that they have been cured. of illness during the six months preceding the date of entry to Turkey.
He added, “The PCR examination report with a negative result will not be requested from the holders of the document that proves that they have received the vaccine or recovery, and quarantine measures will not be applied to them, in the event that it is not possible to submit a vaccination certificate or documents proving that he is infected and cured of the disease upon entering Turkey, a report will be requested.” A negative PCR examination with a negative result up to 72 hours before admission, or presentation of a negative Fast Antigen test result a maximum of 48 hours after admission is sufficient.
And the statement continued: “Some passengers may be subject to a PCR examination by the Ministry of Health randomly upon entry to Turkey, and crews of aircraft and ships, personnel qualified as key personnel on ships and truck drivers will be exempted from the PCR and quarantine procedures.”
In turn, the Italian Ministry of Tourism confirmed, yesterday, its welcome to the Kuwaitis, and the official spokesman for the ministry, Fabrizio Raffoni, explained that tourists who have completed vaccination with any of the vaccines approved in the European Union countries can enter Italy without the need for quarantine.
Ravoni said, during his meeting with Kuwaiti Ambassador Sheikh Azzam Al-Sabah, yesterday, that the ancient Italian cities, fashion, industries, famous islands and therapeutic clinics made Italy one of the best high-end tourist destinations for Kuwaiti tourists.
He indicated that his country’s government has begun easing the restrictions imposed by the conditions of the Corona pandemic, thanks to the receding of the epidemic and the expansion of the vaccination campaign.
